Got the receipt!!

The weather is gloomy since this morning. Drizzling. Cold. Good for nap time [chuckles]. But I never took the bite. I went on with my daily routine of going to school, early of course. Meet my students, continue with the discussions till my last subject.

Oh yeah, its payday and i haven't received my payslip yet [sighs]. As if I'd received large amount. After my class at 2pm, I head to PLDT-Digos to inquire on how I could avail the free 2months NDD service included on myDSL bundle. When I got there, I was given a priority #3. I think I was the only customer waiting to be served. While waiting, I heard a lady is following up their application. Oh my, remembering. I've been through that. The agony of waiting. They were like calling here and rummaging through piles of papers. Poor lady, all she could received was the same statement I received few months back.

Anyways, I was given a small paper with a to follow directions on how to connect directly. But, I had to wait for the dial tone to change from the usual tone to ambulance tone. In that way, my phone could make calls directly nationwide na, FREE!! [2months, per se]. Not now. Not tomorrow. When? I don't know. It's up to the Service Order, as they say. The cashier then handed the receipt I've been longing for.

So far, I am enjoying my internet connection. I am now loving PLDT =)

Got connected!!

Around 11am this morning, I sent the PLDT personnel a text message inquiring when they could install my internet, they responded they would notify me .

I heaved a huge sigh. I had to wait again. But never too long. Just this afternoon after my class, my sister were sending me messages non stop telling me they [the PLDT men] were already outside our house waiting for me. They [too] sent a text message informing they are now going to install my internet connection. Yipeee! was sooo happy.

So, there..a few minutes of installing cords, cables and stuff then few clicks on my keyboard.

2:40pm, i got connected already..fascinating!!

Officially, I can now explore the information superhighway right at my home. They orient this blogger the how-to's and if some problem arises, I can text or call them.

I thank them before they left.

Our PLDT phone

My phone has already been installed. This morning, I was monitoring my students taking their examinations when my cellphone beep. Finally, i get to receive a text from them. They are going to install my rather our landline phone today and asked if I'm home. I replied "I'm still in school giving exams to my students.." They responded, "text lang kayo, maam. adto sa mi sa laing subscribers.." ["just text us maam, we'll go install another subscriber's phone.."]

Me: "ok. I'll be home around 10am."
I won't let the time pass, it might get delayed again and my frustration might rise up.
PLDT: "ok maam."

I was so excited! I came home around 10:30am. My exam was kinda hard for them, i think. It took them awhile to answer. [chuckles] I texted the technicians I was already home and were waiting for them. They had a hard time looking for our place daw. We don't have street name pa kasi but we do have house # na. And so they began connecting the phone line. I was very observant on what they were doing. I was like the teacher who strictly monitor its students during quiz and exams. Beat that!! I asked everything I was curious about.

It was around 11:35am when our residence already have its phone line. I would definitely spread the news to our relatives domestic and international. The phone is place beside my PC monitor.

I was thinking talaga that includes my internet na but it would follow soon enough since the Service Order hasn't arrived yet, according to them. "Ha? I had to wait again", I answered in dismay. But it won't take long naman daw. Before they left, I extended my gratitude to them.

inefficient service

so irritating..i don't want to end my week with a frowning eyebrows but this telecoms company here in our town made me raised my temper thermometer..

a week ago, November 26, 2008..i applied for an internet connection at PL*T. My sister and I does a lot of research and staying up late inside an internet cafe after our classes makes it hard for us to get a transportation home. The reason why our dear Papa would patiently wait for us, in case we get home late.
Anyways, I was told there would be a slight delay of installation 'cause they had to survey the area ek ek..ok, so i said we could wait. My mobile # was in the application form, they would [i assumed] call or inform me naman siguro if 'that delay' extends.

It's been a week and 3days to be exact since. I called them around 1pm, asked..inquired..followed up. A lady received my call. I wasn't satisfied with the answer. She said in a lousy voice, 'wala pa ho ang port'. So I replied, 'when pa kaya yan ma-i-install? [when it might be installed? abutin pa ba yan ng next year, maam?'. It was a calm, well mannered query. Sabi ba naman ng lec@%!!, 'malapit na din naman ang next year..' Wow, matino bang sagot yan?!! My GOD! na train ba siya? ganyan ba dapat sumagot ang mga customer service representative? how sarcastic!! i responded with 'napaka inefficient niyo naman..' then put down the phone.

asan na ang quick install nila? chika lang ba yon? i now know, i now feel my best bud patzs feelings. Naabisuhan na naman ako eh about sa service nila, na kesyo mabagal. Kung sumagot daw mga CSR nila, sarcastic at madami pang iba. Na experience ko na ngayon.

Bagay nga siguro ang Palaging Late ang Dating ng Transactions nila na meaning ng company and i am hoping this would serve as a wake up call for the people of the company's branch here in our town. Wake up!! Do your jobs!!

So sad nga lang ala pang GLOBE sa area namin. I could have switch. Kalagot na lang jud!!

we waited and would still wait..how inefficient =(.. very thumbs down!!
